Dinamo was founded in 2013 by Johannes Breyer and Fabian Harb, first between Basel and Berlin. It describes itself as a group of graphic designers turned type designers, and received a Swiss Design Award in 2016.
Positioning
Dinamo creates typefaces that are both experimental and functional, for art, culture, fashion and technology. It also develops software tools, a publishing house and a radio show, and introduced in 2020 a pricing model adapted to the size of its clients.
Catalog
Its typefaces carry the ABC prefix and range from neutral sans serifs to the most unusual creations.
Signature typefaces
ABC Diatype, ABC Favorit, ABC Monument Grotesk, ABC Ginto and ABC Maxi. Dinamo also created Spotify Mix, Spotify's exclusive typeface since 2024, and has worked for Apple, Nike and Discord.
