Adobe Fonts began as Typekit, a web font service launched in the late 2000s and acquired by Adobe in 2011. It took its current name in 2018. It also builds on a long tradition: since 1989, the Adobe Originals program has produced the company's own typefaces.

Positioning

Adobe Fonts is not a foundry in the classic sense, but a subscription library included in Creative Cloud. It gives access to Adobe's typefaces and to those of many partner foundries, for both print and web.

Catalog

Several tens of thousands of fonts from hundreds of foundries, from the great classics to independent creations.

Signature typefaces

The Adobe Originals, such as Adobe Garamond, Minion, Myriad, Trajan, Acumin and the Source family, Adobe's first open source collection.
