Cinetic CreativesImmersive website
Based on Rue des Vieux-Grenadiers in Geneva, Cinetic Creatives sees itself as a creative house rather than a production company. It brings three disciplines together under one roof: advertising, cinema and experience design. Its line is clear: to reveal the invisible. In advertising, the house signs films for luxury watchmaking, from Ebel to MB&F, by way of Vacheron Constantin, Jaeger-LeCoultre and Mido. In cinema, its catalogue supports auteur works such as La Chimera and Ariaferma. Two demanding worlds that share the same relationship with the image. To design its new corporate website, Cinetic Creatives turned to Bonhomme, a web agency based in the heart of Paris. The mission begins with content architecture and UX-UI. It continues with a complete design system, then with demanding front-end development. A WebGL layer brings the homepage to life, and a WordPress CMS gives the Geneva team control over its projects. The brief fits in one sentence: build an immersive website worthy of images made for the big screen and for brands in the premium sector.
Fitting the big screen into a browser window
Cinetic Creatives’ films live on nuance: an icy blue set against an amber shadow, a watch filmed like a building in the middle of the desert, the restraint of a Patrimony collection. These images do not take well to compression, thumbnail grids or talkative interfaces. A conventional corporate website would reduce them to a catalogue; an overly showy setup would crush them under effects.
The tension is twofold. The interface has to convey the standards of films made for luxury watchmaking and auteur cinema, without ever upstaging them. The house must also remain legible: three disciplines, dozens of projects, an identity to grasp in a few seconds. All the user experience and user interface work starts from this constraint.
Finally, the site speaks to very different audiences. A watchmaking marketing department looks for proof of mastery; a producer or distributor looks for a point of view. The same journey has to convince both, without multiplying entry points or diluting the message.

Motion as a navigation grammar
From its offices in Paris, the digital studio Bonhomme approaches navigation the way an editor approaches a sequence. The site opens on a full-screen showreel that can be skipped with a click: a film opening rather than a homepage. Transitions between pages work like cuts, with the same attention to rhythm.
On hover, each project comes alive: the still gives way to a video loop, like a trailer lasting a few seconds. The homepage image wall, developed in WebGL, moves stills and excerpts with a fluidity the browser alone cannot offer.
This front-end development relies on lightweight video proxies and progressive loading, so that motion never costs waiting time. The immersive website thus keeps its promise: you move through it as through a film, without ever losing the thread.
The second choice is a deliberate restraint. The art direction is limited to the essentials: capital typography carrying the house’s manifestos, and full-screen imagery as the primary language. Nothing competes with the frame. The texts, few and far between, are treated like film title cards: a few lines in capitals, set between two sequences, that set the tone without holding the eye for too long.
This restraint rests on a rigorous design system. Templates, spacing, type styles and video behaviours are defined once, then rolled out across the three territories: Advertising, Cinema, Experience Design. Each universe keeps its own breathing room, but they all speak the same language.
On the user experience and user interface side, menus fold away, texts stay short and every journey leads straight to the films. Here, UX-UI is measured by what it does not show. Finally, the design system feeds the CMS: every project published in WordPress inherits its layout, with no compromise on image quality.
Impact: a house you understand at a glance
The new site makes the house legible at a glance: three disciplines united under a single signature, consistent for watch brands and cinema alike:
• Advertising, cinema and experience design presented as facets of a single vision, rather than three activities side by side.
• A consistency that speaks as much to luxury houses as to producers and distributors of auteur films.
• A corporate website you watch like a film, driven by motion and WebGL.
• A UX-UI that serves the image, built on a design system shared by the three territories.
• Front-end development designed for video, preserving film quality without weighing down navigation.
• A team that is autonomous in the WordPress CMS, free to expand its portfolio without altering the experience.
For Cinetic Creatives, the site becomes a calling card on the scale of its ambitions: that of a Geneva house able to move from a watch campaign to an auteur film without changing its voice. The immersive website does not try to compete with the films; it offers them a screening room. This project extends a conviction that the website design agency Bonhomme has championed in Paris since 2013 with premium houses: a successful interface is one that serves the image before serving itself.
