The EightVisual identity - Immersive website

The Eight is a private club founded in 2026, reserved for a small circle of collectors in search of rarity, discretion and rare experiences. The club orchestrates confidential encounters around exceptional objects, without ever naming or exposing what circulates among its members. From the very start of the project, Bonhomme, a Parisian creative agency, took charge of building the entire brand universe of the nascent club. The mission covers the construction of the club’s identity: the logo and brand guidelines lay its foundations, before the immersive website gives it its first public existence. For a brand with no history or visible heritage, the challenge is to invent immediate legitimacy, without ever revealing the exact nature of the curated objects.

Existing without revealing itself

How do you give a digital presence to a confidential circle without betraying its demand for discretion? The question shapes every decision in the project. The Eight cannot afford one of luxury’s classic reflexes, display or the accumulation of signs: the club lives on its rarity, and any overly talkative identity would have betrayed its nature. From its offices in Paris, the agency Bonhomme therefore built a visual identity that suggests rather than asserts. The logo remains understated, the brand guidelines favour restraint, and the immersive website draws a subtle line between what one glimpses of the club and what one will never quite see.

The first creative decision is to build an identity that bears the imprint of the curated objects without ever showing them. The branding agency Bonhomme draws on the aesthetic codes of Art Deco to create rich, precious brand guidelines: geometric patterns, custom-drawn borders, and recommendations for materials and craftsmanship such as marquetry infuse the entire visual system. The logo shares this same demand for refinement, conceived as a seal rather than a commercial sign. The chosen colour palette subtly echoes the codes of great luxury houses, without ever quoting them literally. This identity says nothing about what the club holds; it only sets its atmosphere, its elegance and the promise of a bygone era.

The second focus is to populate this universe with images without ever revealing the club’s purpose. Drawing on its brand identity expertise, Bonhomme imagined a dreamlike world carried by illustration and a short brand film, built around the metaphor of galloping horses escaping the noise of the city, a way of embodying freedom and rarity without resorting to literal imagery. The illustrations, created with artificial intelligence to meet the tight launch deadlines, adopt an elegant graphic treatment in the brand’s colours, designed to spark the imagination rather than describe. Motion gives these sequences a hushed rhythm that accompanies the film without ever rushing it. Content and identity thus answer each other, in the same economy of suggestion.

An immersive website designed as a threshold

The third focus is the immersive website itself, designed as a threshold rather than a showcase. As a web agency, Bonhomme designed from its Paris offices a UX-UI experience in which plays of masks, blurred typography that slips away and ambiguous transitions draw a subtle line between curiosity and belonging.

The design system developed for the occasion structures this ambiguity with precision: each component follows a coherent visual grammar, while letting the club’s own mystery show through. The front-end development, built entirely in WebGL, carries this fluidity into the interaction itself: visitors move forward, step back, hesitate, without ever quite crossing the threshold of the circle. From Paris, the digital agency Bonhomme makes this digital frontier the exact extension of the club’s promise, conveyed through illustration and the brand manifesto rather than literal discourse.

Project impact

From its launch, The Eight benefits from a brand identity that immediately establishes its credibility, as if the club had always existed, a perception that motion and illustration sustain as much as the graphic identity itself:

• An identity perceived as long established, even though the brand has just been born;

• A deliberate opacity that draws new members in rather than keeping them at a distance;

• Complete consistency between the logo, the immersive website and the club’s content universe;

• Front-end development in WebGL that carries this consistency into the visitor’s experience.

Bonhomme, a Parisian design studio with skills ranging from branding to digital, thus closes the loop on a project in which discretion remains, from the first stroke of the logo to the final design system, The Eight’s only true signature.
