Designing a recognisable, premium visual identity

In the world of startups and SaaS tools, visual identities often rely on generic graphic codes that make brands hard to tell apart. The challenge, then, is to build premium branding capable of creating strong recall while giving meaning to the brand's graphic elements. It also means developing a visual identity coherent enough to support the product's future evolution and its digital interfaces.

To meet this objective, the branding agency Bonhomme develops, from its Paris offices, a visual identity built on a system of signifiers directly tied to the startup's name. The logotype and pictogram are built around the letter "Y" in Lucy, whose shapes evoke bones in reference to the famous human fossil that inspired the brand's name.

To underline the product's technological, data-driven dimension, the studio uses a reworked mono typeface along with a graphic world inspired by the codes of big data and computing. The blue palette also echoes the historic colour of HTML hyperlinks, subtly reinforcing the brand's digital roots.

Rolling out a SaaS app and a UX/UI experience designed for data readability

Alongside this, the web agency Bonhomme in Paris designs the UX/UI of the app and the SaaS platform to make data analysis more readable and intuitive. The interface is built on an atomic-design logic, developing modular components able to evolve alongside future versions of the product.

The UX/UI work also covers the graphic representation of data, with a clear information hierarchy, simplified diagrams and functional use of colour, making the tool more pleasant to use despite the complexity of the analyses displayed.
