DaciaInstallation

On the occasion of the redesign of its stand for car shows, Dacia asks the agency Lever de Rideau to coordinate the various related projects. Bonhomme is entrusted with the digital activation of the stand. Zenith photos, 360 view and youth space are staged throughout the duration of the events.

Standing out in a saturated environment

A motor show is a battleground of intense visual and sensory competition. Hundreds of premium exhibitors compete for the attention of the same audience — often accompanied by children, and always in a hurry. In this context, a static stand, however well designed, is no longer enough. For Dacia, the challenge is to turn a physical space into a destination: a place where visitors stop, interact, and leave with something. How can digital become the engine of that attachment, in an automotive world where hands-on experience still reigns supreme?

Photo of iPads interactive installations on stand

An installation that turns the visitor into the stand's protagonist

The creative agency Bonhomme designs an installation built around applications deployed on iPads integrated at strategic points across the stand. Each app offers a distinct experience: an overhead photo with instant printing, a 360° view of the interior, and games and animations designed for children. The principle is to make the visitor an active participant in their discovery rather than a passive spectator.

The UX/UI work ensures that every interaction is intuitive and accessible to all audiences, from children to adults, with no prior learning required. The immersive experience is calibrated to be short, memorable and shareable — three essential qualities in the context of a motor show, where time spent on a stand is always limited.

What sets this project apart in the automotive world is its temporal dimension. Renewed across five consecutive editions, the installation evolves each year while maintaining overall consistency. The web agency Bonhomme in Paris builds a technical and creative architecture solid enough to integrate new experiences at every show, and premium enough to meet the demands of the brand and its audience. Each edition brings its own novelties — new apps, new animations, new content — while building on the achievements of previous years.

Results and impact

The installation makes it possible to:

- design an interactive digital installation that captures attention at a saturated motor show;
- deploy iPad apps at different points across the stand to multiply opportunities for interaction;
- create an immersive experience designed for the whole family, from children to adults;
- generate tangible souvenirs — photos, goodies — that extend the brand's presence beyond the visit;
- maintain a premium standard across five consecutive editions through an evolving installation.

By combining installation, UX/UI, bespoke apps and creative direction, Bonhomme in Paris demonstrates its ability to turn an automotive stand into a living brand experience. The Dacia project was recognised with a Behance Exhibition & Signage Award.
