Brice DarmonImmersive website

Based in Paris and New York, Photographer Brice Darmon called on Bonhomme to help showcase his work with an innovative and visually impacting interface.

The expectations of a singular photographer

Brice's work carries a strong identity. That's why Bonhomme's Paris teams, the web agency, made sure to showcase his photographs to their fullest by favouring immersion. The interface relies on a back-office that makes it easy to choose image combinations and their positioning on the main page.

The challenge: designing an immersive UX/UI experience to showcase an artistic portfolio

To meet this ambition, the project had to rethink the traditional logic of portfolio sites and offer an original navigation capable of showcasing the images while respecting their visual impact. The challenge for Bonhomme, the web agency was therefore to design an innovative UX/UI experience that showcases the photographs without diverting attention from their aesthetic power. In response, the website presents the photographs by colour-inspired theme — a navigation that radically departs from the standard codes of the photography portfolio.

An innovative UX/UI architecture designed by a Paris web agency

To meet this challenge, Bonhomme, the Paris web agency, imagined an immersive site built on an original navigation inspired by the colours and visual themes present in the photographs.

The site's UX/UI adopts a structure that lets visitors explore the images through different visual entry points. Graphic transitions and overlay effects reinforce the immersion and give visitors the feeling of browsing an interactive gallery.

The navigation combines horizontal and vertical exploration, letting users move freely between photographic series while keeping the experience fluid and intuitive.

Precise technical work also makes it possible to apply CSS transformations to large images while preserving their fluidity and visual quality.

An immersive portfolio site recognised by the digital design community

The site designed for Brice Darmon turns browsing a portfolio into a genuine visual experience. The UX/UI approach showcases the photographs while offering intuitive, immersive navigation.

By bringing together art direction, immersive navigation and UX/UI in the service of the image, Bonhomme, the Paris web agency, demonstrates its ability to design digital experiences that extend their authors' creative worlds while elevating their work. Awarded a Site of the Day and an Honorable Mention at the Awwwards, a Website of the Day and a Website of the Year at the CSS Design Awards, as well as an FWA of the Day from The FWA, the project illustrates the expertise of Bonhomme, the creative agency, in creating immersive websites where design, innovation and technical excellence are recognised by the biggest international names in digital design.
