DppiBrand identity - Corporate website

Famous partner of the major world sports events, Dppi invites us to design its digital identity. We work on the creation of a new type logo as well as on the design and development of their new multi-support website.

How to modernise an ageing brand identity in the sports photography sector

Dppi is a leading name in world sports photography, a partner of the biggest events — from Formula 1 Grands Prix to the Olympic Games. But its brand image and website no longer reflect the excellence of its catalogue or its premium positioning in the world of visual art and culture. The branding agency Bonhomme in Paris was brought in to completely overhaul the visual identity and design a new website capable of showcasing this exceptional expertise while generating conversion opportunities. The dual challenge — B2B and B2C — calls for careful thinking about information architecture and user experience.

Historically tied to motorsport, Dppi now covers every sporting discipline. To build a visual identity worthy of this ambition, Bonhomme, from its Paris offices, adopted a minimalist, timeless art direction — geometric, typographic, detached from any sector-specific anecdote. Typography takes centre stage in the new logotype, designed to withstand graphic trends and support the brand over the long term. The resulting graphic charter — chromatic restraint, rigorous proportions, economy of form — visually conveys a premium positioning without needing to state it explicitly.

A restrained corporate website that lets the image reign

In keeping with the new identity, the web agency Bonhomme in Paris designed a corporate website whose art direction rests on a palette of black, white and shades of grey. Only the images bring colour to the interface — a deliberate choice that puts Dppi’s photographs in the foreground and gives them their full impact. Subtle shifts in typographic scale, light transition effects and parallax give rhythm to the navigation without ever getting in its way.

The UX/UI organises content around thematic case studies — motorsport, team sports, international events — allowing B2B clients to quickly find the references relevant to their needs. This thematic organisation turns Dppi’s catalogue into a genuine tool for commercial persuasion, while offering B2C visitors an editorial exploration of the agency’s visual world.

The entire interface design was built to meet the constraints of every device. For a photo agency whose clients consult references while on the move — at circuits, in stadiums, at events — this cross-device consistency is a premium necessity. Every detail of the interface keeps its rigour and elegance, from desktop to mobile.

Results and impact

The project makes it possible to:

- design a minimalist, geometric visual identity that places Dppi in a premium, timeless register;
- create a strong logotype whose typographic rigour conveys the excellence of the photographic catalogue;
- structure a restrained corporate website that keeps the images in the foreground while serving both B2B and B2C objectives;
- showcase the catalogue through thematic case studies that ease commercial conversion;
- integrate a premium Shopify e-shop that monetises 100+ iconic photographs from the catalogue.

By bringing together branding agency expertise, visual identity, logotype design, corporate website, UX/UI and e-commerce, Bonhomme in Paris demonstrates its ability to reposition an art and culture brand within a lasting, premium register — an identity built to endure, independent of the graphic trends of its time. The numerous awards won on this project — including a Site Of The Day on FWA and a mention on Behance — further attest to its legitimacy as a premium branding agency.

FAQ — Dppi

Edouard B.Chief business officer

We had a complex brief. The site needed to be both B2B and B2C, do justice to the agency’s history while looking to the future... In the end: a sober design, a strong identity, simple navigation and the image in its full glory. Throughout the project: attentiveness, ideas, aesthetic sense, rigour, a strong work ethic, humour... In short, bonhommie, made in Bonhomme.
