To reinforce its position as a pioneer in the fields of technology and watchmaking, TAG Heuer has enlisted the luxury web agency Bonhomme in Paris which specializes in watch industry communications to design its new digital platform. From UX to UI and creative development, the studio is doing everything possible to boost the performance and conversion rate of the e-commerce website.
Strategic challenge
The project aims to design a platform capable of meeting the new demands of e-commerce in the luxury sector. For an international watchmaking house like TAG Heuer, the website becomes a central point of contact between the brand and its customers.
The challenge is therefore to create a digital experience that showcases the collections, strengthens the desirability of the watchmaking pieces and makes it easier to discover the brand's expertise. The luxury web agency Bonhomme designs the UX/UI from its offices in Paris, in a spirit of strategic consulting aimed at finding the right balance between immersion, information and commercial performance.

Design system and art direction
In close collaboration with the TAG Heuer teams based between Paris and La Chaux-de-Fonds, the web agency Bonhomme designs the platform's design system. This graphic system structures all of the interfaces and ensures the site's visual consistency.
The UX/UI art direction is built on a minimalist, elegant approach that showcases the products and the identity of the watchmaking house. Every interface component contributes to expressing a digital universe that is both contemporary and true to the codes of the luxury sector.

UX/UI and e-commerce experience
UX/UI work is a central element of the project. The e-commerce experience is designed to move away from the traditional standards of the watchmaking sector and offer a more fluid, immersive navigation.
The collections are presented through interfaces that allow the watches to be explored from different angles while offering quick access to essential information. This approach combines visual exploration with commercial efficiency, two key elements for an e-commerce platform in the luxury sector.

Accessibility and performance
The platform's development takes accessibility standards into account and notably complies with the constraints of the AA standard. The goal is to ensure a smooth, inclusive experience while maintaining a high level of technical performance.
This approach reflects Bonhomme's expertise in UX/UI and in designing e-commerce platforms for watchmaking houses and luxury sector brands.

History
The platform is not limited to presenting products. It also tells the story of the watchmaking house through an immersive narrative combining archives, editorial content and interactive sequences. Web agency Bonhomme designs, in Paris, a page evoking the graphic representation of a DNA strand to showcase the luxury watchmaking brand's 200-year history.
Know-how
By following the different stages in the manufacture of a watch, users discover all of TAG Heuer's know-how. Interactive sequences and additional content punctuate the navigation.
Magazine
In order to speak regularly and assume its position as market leader, TAG Heuer creates articles contained in its Magazine. Thanks to many customizable modules, the brand can easily create articles independently.

Impact and key figures
The new e-commerce platform allows TAG Heuer to strengthen its presence in the world of luxury watchmaking while showcasing the heritage and excellence of the watchmaking house. The experience combines immersion, storytelling and commercial performance, giving the brand a digital tool capable of supporting its international strategy in the luxury sector.
From its launch in January 2020, the platform generated an increase of over 400% in conversion rate, confirming the effectiveness of the UX/UI work and the e-commerce experience redesign. This momentum accelerated further in the following months with the rise of online shopping triggered by the global health crisis.
The platform was also deployed internationally, with a simultaneous launch in 17 countries with 26 languages.
The project was praised by the digital design community and received several international distinctions, notably an Awwwards Honorable Mention and Developer Award, recognising the quality of the UX/UI design and development.
This achievement confirms the ability of Bonhomme, a luxury web agency in Paris specialising in watchmaking, to design high-performing e-commerce platforms for major watchmaking houses in the luxury sector.
